Poll: Calorie Content on Fast Food Receipts?

Fast food chains are facing ever increasing scrutiny when it comes to the Calorie and nutrient content of the food they entice us with.

Recently governments have cracked down on restaurants requiring them to be more transparent regarding nutrition information. Burgerville, a fast food chain in the Pacific Northwest, has taken this one step further by actually printing nutrition information of the customer’s receipt.

Since I was 15 I can remember being self conscious about my weight. I was an athlete and played water polo and swam year round; being in a bathing suit most of the year made me very aware of my body. Being an athlete I felt as though there was no way for me to change the way my body was because I constantly needed to eat to keep my energy levels up. We would have ‘carb-loading’ before swim meets and I was always famished after late practices which would lead to my eating late at night. It was a vicious cycle.

Lady Gaga’s Dangerous Diet

Lady Gaga’s former tour manager David Ciemny claims that she was hospitalized 6 times in 2009 – proposing that extreme dieting was the culprit.

Embarrassed to Workout At the Gym [Forum]

I’m extremely shy, and have a low self-esteem problem. I can’t stand working out in a gym, when its filled up. I feel so judged and pathetic because most of the time its active people working out. Because of this I make an excuse not to go to the gym. I don’t like the feeling of people judging me because of my appearance.
