Latest Celebrity Dieting Fad: Charcoal?

Friday, April 30th, 2010

Strange dietary practices are nothing new in the world of celebrities, but this one is right up there when it comes to the bizarre and frankly… dumb.

Or is it?

I mean, adding charcoal to every meal seems like a logical enough way to help you eat less. In fact, I would say it’s probably a FAIL PROOF way to eat less.

How Can I Make Strength Training Fun? [Forum]

Wednesday, April 28th, 2010

I’m a 25 year old female, about 15 pounds overweight. I want to get fit and lean. I like walking, and I’m thinking of getting a bicycle. I know I should also do some sort of resistance training. Everywhere I read about the benefits of strength training… the problem is, I really don’t enjoy lifting weights. I can stick to a routine for a couple of weeks maybe, but I soon end up quitting. Counting reps, concentrating on the exercises… it’s very tedious to me. I’ve tried bodyweight exercise, it’s the same. I just find squats, push ups, etc, to be incredible boring.

Why Am I Not Losing Weight? [Forum]

Sunday, April 25th, 2010

I’m 13 and I’m about 140 lbs. I always eat a good breakfast, a snack in between breakfast and lunch, a small lunch, again a small dinner, and sometimes a light dessert. I really am not too hungry so I don’t eat a lot.

I’m on a track team and we practice 5 days a week for an hour (occasionally an hour and a half). We run about three miles every day. I did cheer in the fall/ winter, and I was probably the strongest base. We only practiced 3 times a week and I ended up gaining about 15 lbs since then! I don’t get it!

How Can I Overcome My Sugar Addiction? [Forum]

Thursday, April 22nd, 2010

Not sure what else to call it. I need at least one 3-pack of cupcakes, chocolate chip cheesecake muffin, glazed bear claw, or cinnamon bun every single day. AND I mean NEED!

When I walk out of 7-11 with the perfect sweet I must unwrap it and take the first bite as soon as i am in the driver seat of my car. And the first few bites are glorious and satisfying and I can start to breathe more regularly and see more clearly to start my day.
