[Forum] Need Help With Motivation and Self-control

I’m 21 years old and I know weigh 210 pounds and am 5′6. Pretty much my whole life I thought I was fat. My mom had an eating disorder for many years and she’s obsessed with working out and eating the bare minimum now. My dad has struggled a little with weight but he’s a very busy business man and can’t find the time to always go to the gym. Nobody in my family is obese, weight has never been a huge issue.

[Forum] Obstacles to Losing and Maintaining Weight

I’m trying, folks, really I am. For the thousandth time, I suppose. I’m about 60 pounds overweight right now. But here’s the true irony: I am in charge of revamping my company’s wellness program. (Physician — heal thyself!!) Some employers offer at work weight loss programs, or cash to help people attend weight loss meetings and the like (and we’ve done that). Some have weigh ins and contests.

Poll: Bacon or Sex?

What a strange love affair people have with this popular pork product and it doesn’t seem to be getting less popular as time goes on.

A recent survey conducted on the behalf of Maple Leaf Foods showed that 43% of Canadians would rather eat bacon than have sex. Now that’s some serious bacon love!

Oprah’s Chocolate Set: Bad Taste?

Oprah Winfrey rebuilt her entire on-stage set in Godiva chocolate.

The set consisted of a grandfather clock, table, books, chess set, fireplace and a vase of flowers (all made of chocolate) and was created with 7,000 Godiva bars and 2,400 truffles over the course of 1,400 hours. There was also a chocolate chandelier made from 1,500 pieces of chocolate. (source)

Water-Based Chocolate As Good As Normal Bar

Scientists at Birmingham University in the UK are developing a new healthy chocolate bar where the fat content is replaced with… water.

It sounds too good to be true, but it isn’t! The researchers have been looking into ways to replace the fat particles in a normal chocolate bar with calorie-free alternatives like air, water or gels.

They topped their German rival Schorschbrau, with a new 41% proof beer they call “Sink the Bismark.” Schorschbrau sells a paltry 40% brew.

[Forum] Trouble Maintaining My Weight Loss

I was severely overweight for over 9 years and then I really buckled down and joined ww and lost it in about 3 years. I hit my goal about a year ago and now I’m having so much trouble. I feel lousy and I keep having to reduce my points so that I don’t gain weight. I’m hungry all the time and I just feel bad.
