Poll: Schools Breath Testing Students

I don’t think anyone would argue that underage drinking is a huge problem.

Not only does it reap havoc on the health of developing teens, but the impacts on society are devastating as well. As a former teacher, I would often have students who were possibly intoxicated while in class or nursing a hang-over from the night before.

[Forum] Neurofeedback for Weight Loss

I have struggled with extra weight for about 15 years, and I mean struggled! I tried every diet and they all worked a little – or for a while. Then, guess what, back comes the appetite and the weight!

Then I tried this new thing, and it’s not a diet. It’s a neurofeedback device I saw on the Dr. Phil show. It’s simple and safe – you use it at home without needing a doctor. But, it is the same type of neurofeedback they use in their office. It just uses sound, some kind of pulsed tones to shift brainwave patterns. It’s actually very relaxing.

New York City Bans Bake Sales In Schools

If you count on blueberry muffins or chocolate brownies to banish the back-to-school blues, you might be disappointed.

The latest regulations from New York City’s Education Department have banned most bake sales in schools, as well as cracking down on what can be sold in vending machines and student-run stores.

[Forum] I Need to Kick-start My Diet

I’ve wanted to start dieting for so long, but somehow there’s been a reason to eat… like birthdays, end of exams, and girls night outs. Currently on exchange in Europe and the pounds are stalking up again!!! I’ve been studying almost nonstop for exams and projects, not to mention homework, traveling and networking sessions, and the cherry on top is suddenly becoming very sick
