Could Obesity Be Contributing to Swine Flu Deaths?

New data has suggested that obesity, especially extreme obesity (BMI over 40), raises swine flu victims’ chance of dying.

The study, published in advance by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, looked at the cases of ten swine flu patients at a Michigan hospital, all of whom had to be placed on ventilators due to the severity of their illness.

You Don’t Have to Be Diabetic to Love This Cookbook

This book is the brainchild of Tom Valenti – a man who is aptly qualified, being both a chef and a type II diabetic – and was borne out of experimenting with dishes to accommodate his condition. Eventually the modified meals become second nature to him, and he noticed weight loss, more energy, and better skin as a result.

I just wanted to share my story with people.

I am struggling with an eating disorder. I am not sure if it’s anorexia or bulimia, or something else. I have body issues. Not to the point of “Body Dysmorphic Syndrome,” or anything like that – I don’t see fat where it is not, or vice versa, but I just feel ugly.
